I am your 5th cousin, our comman ancestor is Solomon D Breyfogle married to Ester Peter. Think it goes like this: Solomon & Ester to Daniel P & Theresa Gaby to Charles & Elizabeth Cunningham to Oscar Hugh & Josie Peck to Lawrence George & Wanda DelManzo (who brought the Breyfogle’s to Manitoba Canada), to Warren George & Joyce Gluck who are my parents. My sister Debra Ann and I, Wendy Mae are both doing genealogy and were thrilled to find your site. Deb and I would be more then happy to share info. Deb posted a note about the Breyfogle coffee sign. Anyway, feel free to contact either one of us or both. Deb is in Manitoba and I live in Nova Scotia but we share lots of info on Dropbox. Okay, good luck with your website.
Wendy
Wendy, I am Levi’s father and a keeper of the family tree in our branch. What program are you using to manage the family tree information? Perhaps we could exchange family tree files ? I am using Family Tree Maker. Drop me an email and let me know.
David D. Breyfogle
Hello, glad to hear you are interested in what we have. Yes Deb and I use Family Tree Maker. So far we have kept the info to ourselves b/c we wanted to check out some conflicting information. We are still doing that, I guess we always will be and since it has just been Deb and I playing around that has worked for us. But let me or Deb know what you are interested in doing, we use dropbox a lot for transferring info, it may work depending on what we do.
Look forward to hearing from you
Well it would be interesting to look at each others info. We do use Family Tree Maker so if want to email me directly we can discuss it.
I had the privilege of meeting Lawrence & Wand a around 1962 when my son was about 7 years old. He took my two children to a rodeo and bought them each a cowboy hat. I have copies of the family history he was working on if you are interested. I never meant his son, but I did hear about him when he would write to me at Christmas time. I sort of lost contact after Lawrence died. You can write to me at pinkyshoestrings@aol.com or Bonnie Wirkus

Love reading Breyfogle history. Did you know that there is a Dan Breyfogle in Iowa who has a Breyfogle website as well? Your’s is off to a more interesting start.
Who is the Dan Breyfogle in Iowa? A cousin, who i have been looking for??
Lawrence,
My name is Debbie Breyfogle. I am descended from the other Lawrence George Breyfogle, from Manitoba, previously from the Chicago area. Our common ancestor is George Breyfogel and Catherine Dreibelbis. My grandfather L G as he was usually called was always trying to piece together the family tree and my sister Wendy and I have caught the bug. Grandpa died in 1987 and my dad, Warren George died in 2011.
My direct decent is my 5th Great Grandfather who had a lost gold mine in death Valley Many stories written about him in books on death valley and magazines.
My father is Harold Breyfogle, father William Breyfogle of Alta, brother of Melvin Breyfogle who is father of Dan Breyfogle in Iowa my cousin. I am from a family of 13 children six girls and seven boys. As I understand it when the first Breyfogle bbothers came to America the one who I am related to settled in Kutstown PA on a farm. Yesterday I came across a Dean Forrest Breyfogle that was killed in a plane crash over the Grand canyon in June 1956. He was one of the flight crew
Would love to touch base with you and compare info. Email me back anytime.
Feel free to contact me and we can see about exchanging info.
I am the great grand daughter of Grace Breyfogle-Jones. She married Charles Warner Jones on Dec 25, 1902. She had my grandma in 1907 and then she had my great auntie in 1913. Great grandma passed away on Nov 29, 1925. Great grandpa died on Jan 28, 1952. I have a letter written to my great aunt in 1952 from a distant relative of hers. It has all kinds of names and dates in it. Who married who and when and the children they had and when they died. Interesting enough, all the relatives in the letter were all from the mid west. Only one from NY.
